Pastitsio - Baked Pasta with Savory Meat Filling and Bechamel Sauce

- Gather Your Ingredients and Measure Ahead
- Brown the Ground Beef with Onions in a Large Saute Pan
- Add Remaining Sauce Ingredients and Simmer Uncovered
- Cook Pasta Until Just Done
- Add Noodles Back to Pot and Toss with Butter, Cheese, and Egg Whites
- Layer Half the Noodles in Bottom of Pan
- Add Meat Filling in an Even layer
- Get Ready to Make Some Bechamel
- Melt Butter Over Low Heat and Warm Milk
- Add Flour to Melted Butter While Whisking
- Keep Whisking as You Add Milk and Egg Yolks
