In Greek: μπρόκολο με λαδολέμονο, pronounced BROH-koh-loh meh lah-thoh-LEH-moh-no

There's no secret to this recipe, but the addition of the oil and lemon sauce gives it a distinctively Greek touch. It's easy to make and gets green vegetables on the table in a new way.

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Total Time: 15 minutes

  • 2 1/4 pounds of broccoli, broken into large pieces
  • 1/2 cup of olive oil
  • juice of 2 lemons
  • salt to taste

Place the broccoli in a pot and add enough water to cover. Boil over high heat for 15 minutes (or to taste).

    Alternatively, steam broccoli to taste.

In a small bowl, whisk the olive oil and lemon juice together until cloudy.

Transfer the broccoli to a serving dish, add salt to taste, and pour the oil-lemon sauce over the top.

Yield: serves 4-5
