Galaktoboureko (γαλακτομπούρεκο, say ghah-lahk-toh-BOO-reh-koh) is one of the most well-loved Greek desserts. It is a delightful custard cooked in a wrapping of sheets of phyllo dough. These photos illustrate the steps in making this dessert. For this demonstration, I used a round baking pan. Once you learn to drape and fold the phyllo in a round pan, using a square or rectangular pan will be easy! The text recipe for Galaktoboureko and the custard filling can be found here.
