The Perfect Cup of Greek Coffee

Saturday December 10, 2005
In my village, early mornings find the older male population gathered at outdoor tables at the local kafeneio (coffee house) with their small cups of Greek coffee, catching up on news. At home, it's the first thing offered to visiting neighbors, accompanied by conversation and friendship. Greek coffee is a strong, rich brew, served in demitasse cups. It's made from a fine grind of specially roasted beans and the grounds are served with the coffee (they settle to the bottom of the cup). Learn to make the perfect cup of Greek coffee step by step with photos to help.
